Over the Edge

Here I go, over the edge
I jumped in way over my head.
I thought that I... had found true love,
but now I'm drowning in the flood...
of your memory.

There was a time when I thought you hung the moon.
I never thought I'd be alone so soon.
When you left me here for someone else...
I thought that I had lost some of myself.
Now when I see you around these days,
I want to tell you for me you still amaze.

So here I go, over the edge.
I jumped in way over my head.
I thought that I... had found true love,
but now I'm drowning in the flood...
of your memory

I think that what we had shouldn't go unsung,
so I'm climbing the ladder wrung by wrung.
I got to pull myself up out of this hole,
and start talking to you without being cold.
Then maybe I can get on with my life,
and lay to rest these feelings full of strife.

So here I go, over the edge.
I'm jumping in way over my head,
But now I know, it was true love.
Because I swim now in the flood,
of your memory.
